Is Bold Lion actually soap?
Yes. Made through saponification: real oils and butters combined with an alkali until they become soap. That's the actual definition, and it's held for a long time. Most bars on Indian shelves are synthetic detergent bars instead, built on the same surfactant chemistry as dish soap and laundry powder. Legally, those aren't soap. Ours is.

It's the method we use to make every bar. Real oils and butters combined by hand, poured, then left alone for over a month while the reaction finishes and the bar hardens properly. The shortcut version a lot of "natural soap" brands actually use is melt and pour, where a pre-made base gets melted down and poured into a mould in an afternoon. We don't do that.

No, prepaid only right now. Every batch is made in a small run, so we don't carry the buffer stock that makes COD workable without losing money on unpaid returns. That may change as we scale.

We don't accept returns on opened bars, since it's a consumable product. If your order arrived damaged or you received the wrong item, we'll replace it immediately.

No. Scent preference isn't a defect, so we can't offer a return for that. Read the scent descriptions on each product page before you order. We've written them to actually tell you what a bar smells like, not just that it smells "nice."
Plus due to hygiene reasons we can't take back opened orders.

No, not under any circumstances. What we do offer is a replacement: if your order arrived damaged or you were sent the wrong item, email us and we'll send a new one out.
Outside of that, no refund and no replacement. Once a bar's been opened, we can't take it back for hygiene reasons, same as you'd expect from any consumable product. We'll also be straight with you: we're a small brand right now, not a company with a warehouse built to absorb losses as a cost of doing business. Read the scent and grit details on each product page before you order. Do that, and you'll know exactly what you're getting before it arrives.

45 to 50 days with daily use. It's real soap, not a thin detergent bar that melts in two weeks.

It's built for the body, not formulated as a facial bar.
But yes you can use it on your face if you want. If you have sensitive facial skin, patch test first.

Yes. Built specifically for Indian cities where the water is hard and most soap won't lather properly.

Keep it on a draining soap dish, out of standing water. A bar sitting in water breaks down faster.

Every scent is made in a small batch. A proper cure takes over a month, so we don't rush bars out early just to keep more on the shelf. That means once a scent sells out, restocking takes real time, usually several weeks.
